At Backyard Horizon, we believe premium outdoor cooking products should be built to last. Qualifying Summerset products are backed by the manufacturer's Gold Standard Warranty, providing long-term protection against covered manufacturing defects and specified component failures.

Warranty coverage varies by product and component. Covered replacement parts are provided on a non-prorated basis. All warranty coverage is subject to the manufacturer's official warranty terms, conditions, exclusions, and claim requirements.

Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty

Lifetime coverage includes qualifying:

  • Stainless steel construction
  • Construction and manufacturer defects
  • Cooking grates
  • Burners and burner covers
  • Valves and flame tamers
  • Heat zone separators
  • Temperature gauges and hood springs
  • Briquette systems

3-Year Warranty

Additional coverage applies to other qualifying parts, components, and electrical items, including:

  • LED bulbs
  • Wire harnesses and switches
  • Power-source wiring
  • Transformers
  • Interior halogen light wiring and bulbs
  • Other specified parts, components, and electrical items

Stainless Steel Drawers, Doors, Grill Liners & Carts

Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty

Qualifying stainless steel doors, drawers, grill liners, and carts are covered for defects in construction, workmanship, and materials.

3-Year Warranty

Electrical components in warming drawers are covered for three years.

Protective Covers

Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty

Qualifying covers for grills, carts, side burners, power burners, gas griddles, and ovens are covered under the applicable lifetime warranty.

Vent Hoods

  • 5 Years: Stainless steel construction
  • 3 Years: Blowers, LED lighting, wiring harnesses, and switches

Refrigeration & Cold Storage

15-Inch & 24-Inch Refrigeration Models

  • 3 Years: Construction, including compressors
  • 1 Year: Specified electrical components, including transformers, LED bulbs, LED harnesses, power-source wiring, LED switches, and interior lighting components

21-Inch & 22-Inch Refrigeration Models

  • 1 Year: Construction and electrical components, including compressors, transformers, LED bulbs, LED harnesses, power-source wiring, LED switches, and interior lighting components

Commercial Gas Grills

Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty

Qualifying commercial and hospitality applications receive lifetime coverage for workmanship, construction, and manufacturer defects.

Regular maintenance is mandatory for commercial applications. Warranty coverage may be voided by misuse, lack of regular cleaning, vandalism, theft, or other conditions excluded under the manufacturer's warranty.

Important Warranty Requirements

Warranty coverage is subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions. Important requirements include:

  • Original Purchaser: Coverage applies to the original purchaser at the original delivery location and is void upon transfer of ownership.
  • Registration: Qualifying products must be registered online within 30 days of the purchase date to validate the warranty.
  • Proof of Purchase: Proof of purchase and photo documentation are required.
  • Replacement Parts: Warranty coverage applies to replacement parts. Covered replacement parts are provided on a 100% non-prorated basis.
  • Labor: Labor and labor-related costs are not covered.
  • Maintenance: Regular and proper maintenance is required. Proof of maintenance may be requested.
  • Installation: Damage resulting from improper installation is not covered.
  • Environmental Conditions: Discoloration, surface rust, corrosion, and oxidation resulting from harsh environments, chemicals, or overheating are not covered.
  • Coastal Environments: Coastal, humid, and salt environments are subject to manufacturer review.
  • Other Exclusions: Abuse, misuse, extreme environments, and grease fires are not covered.
  • Out-of-Box Damage: Claims must be made within 30 days of purchase and before installation. Products installed while damaged may not be covered for that damage.
  • Warranty Claims: All warranty claims are subject to review and approval by the manufacturer.
